I know what you’ve been through lately. I know what you’re feeling these days. A lot has happened to you, Ellie. You’ve been struggling with anxiety you can’t seem to control, and your emotions keep fluctuating. Right now, everything feels confusing and complicated, and some things seem completely out of your hands.
But please, don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s okay to feel this way. It’s just time — and you need time. You’ve been in Calgary for less than a year. Can you believe that? You just started working, driving, and adjusting to your new life here. You've lived in Korea for over 30 years. Now you’re here, in a completely different world, and it’s only been a year. You’re like a baby taking your first steps — you haven’t even learned to walk properly, yet here you are, trying to run.
Baby, you’ll be fine. You are kind, smart, and beautiful. You know deep down that eventually, things will be okay. Everyone lives with anxiety — even those who are famous, wealthy, or seem to have it all together. You’re just doing what everyone else is doing: learning how to live, in your own way. This is just the beginning of your new chapter. There are still so many pages to write.
Yes, life is unpredictable. Sometimes it will leave you exhausted or lonely — but that’s not the whole story. There are spectacular, beautiful things waiting for you to experience. You haven’t even lived half your life yet. One day, you might look back and say, “Wow, what a life. I have no regrets.”
You just need time to fill your book — and that, of course, takes time. You’re going to love how the story unfolds in the end. But to do that, you have to know how to read your own book. You have to learn how to care for your soul.
Life is messy and uncertain. You’ll get lost. You’ll take wrong turns. But you must never let anyone else steer your life for you. You have to be the one holding the wheel. That’s the most important thing.
You are a strong, beautiful woman. You are the captain of your ship. I love you, beautiful Ellie. It’s okay to be sad, to feel lonely, to cry when you need to. You’re going to be just fine, eventually.
Happy birthday, baby. I love you so much. Let’s create a vibrant, colorful, prosperous life together. Thank you for being honest with yourself.
With love, Yourself
Ellie
